C.E. Uh Oh

I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to the news recently, but there was this little old thing where someone (allegedly Luigi Mangione) shot the CEO of United Healthcare (Brian Thompson) on the streets of NYC and just walked away. And then United Healthcare replaced him in like a day.

The story has garnered a lot of attention because it’s obviously very shocking but also exposing a lot about how people feel about these giant health insurance companies, their practices and how often they seem more concerned with the bottom line than providing a service that allows people to get medical treatment.

I won’t get too deep into my opinions of these things, but obviously a lot of higher-ups at corporations are quite shaken by the shooting and the resulting reaction from the general public. And perhaps feeling like they are on shakier ground than a week ago.
